Cognitive Processing Therapy

We offer an intensive, interactive, brief therapy specified for adult clients who meet the criteria for having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms. This therapy intends to help the client think about ways in which they have become "stuck" in thoughts therefore "stuck" in experiencing PTSD symptoms.

This is voluntary and can conclude with having had 12 - 15 core sessions maximum. We ask that a minimum of 4 core sessions are conducted. Sessions are conducted on a weekly basis.

A psycho-social evaluation is conducted at the beginning of the process and 2 assessments are conducted at the beginning of each session. By the end of the process, the client will be able to see their progress in a graph format based on their assessments.

With this therapy, clients will learn more about PTSD and how it has played a role in their life. They will also learn new skills and practice these skills in "homework" format.
